Weekend highlights:
Some random guy from ICQ told me my website is "elegant, but scattered". I told him I'm a content person, not a design person. What design exists on this page just about exhausted my design skills. Oh well. He was random indeed.
I cooked dinner for a friend Friday night and he was so impressed at my ability to mix canned artichoke hearts, garlic and olive oil to make a topping for our spaghetti. It was nice to cook for someone other than myself. It was nice to have someone in my apartment for more than 15 minutes. It was just a nice experience all around.
The Beer Train on Saturday was great. Many of us met in the South Bay and rode Caltrain up to Belmont. Once there, we met other participants and started riding the train down the peninsula, getting off in every city, or every other city, and going to a bar or pub close by until the next train came by. I made it all the way to Palo Alto before exhaustion took over. I think a good time was had by all, though. Can't wait till the next one.
Yesterday I went shopping. I got a really neat shirt, some earrings that I can't seem to get in my ears now, some books, and two cds. I meant to get some shoes, but I was convinced that it would be a good idea to shop around before buying the first pair I came across, and then we forgot to go back for them (not having found any others to my liking).
And last night, I impressed my friend again with my ability to put tomato sauce, garlic, cheese and olives on Boboli pizza crusts and bake them for 10 minutes. Naturally, this had to be done during the commercial breaks during X-Files, so a process that usually takes less than 15 minutes took about 30, but it was good all the same.
Oh, and I forgot to set my alarm clock last night, so I got to sleep in pretty darn late this morning. Which is good, since I am well and truly sick now. Sick, sick, sick. ::cough:: ::sniffle::
And that was my weekend.
