Well, it's a fact. I can be so dumb sometimes.
Yes, despite my many rants regarding people who go out into the sun without some sort of protection (I don't care if you're brown, a tan = damage), I went out yesterday at noon (that's when we all decided it was time to start preparing for the festivities) and proceeded to get the decks ready for the party we had later on in the day. This involved washing down the tables and chairs, putting the cushions out, arranging the furniture in a pleasing pattern, and sweeping. Lots of sweeping.
All of this without a hat or sunscreen.
So now my face and arms are nearly as red as they were after kickball at sxsw, and I am feeling really dumb. I'm sure when I step into the lukewarm water of the shower, I will feel more than dumb, but that will just increase my feelings of dumbness, which I suppose I deserve at this point.
As an added bonus, I got to see the lesions my grandma has on her hands from skin cancer, and the scar on her arm from the operation she had to take care of some that had gotten too deep. You do not want to get this condition. Trust me on this.
