I was warned last week when I informed the group that I had made my first EBay bid that it would become addictive. That I could be as nonchalant as I liked, right up until the last day of bidding, and then I'd be checking every 15 minutes to make sure that some interloper had not gone in and outbid me on the item that was mine because I bid on it first. I was sceptical.

Turns out they were right.

(Item in question - it will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine. Unless the bidding goes over $100. I don't need it that much.)

Oh, and by the way, today is much better. Even with all the italics.
