The end is near: I've started talking to my computer at work. Out loud.

Talking to a computer is nothing new - I mean, how else are you supposed to reason with it? get it to do what you need it to do? figure out exactly what it's trying to do to your mind?

Talking to the computer out loud, however, is a bad sign. It means you don't care what other people think of your state of mind. It means your frustration level has risen to the point where you can't keep your internal conversations internal anymore.

Granted, I'm not often talking to the computer, per se, so much as I'm talking to the people who send me email. And no, I suppose it's not technically a conversation, as I'm not waiting for them to respond to me.

It's just me, talking to my computer. Out loud.
