Me: the light in my bathroom blew out yesterday morning.
Me: and I'm too short to fix it myself
Jessa: doh!
Me: so I had to go to the bathroom by candlelight yesterday and this morning.
Jessa: wow. Well, that's very romantic
Me: and I took a shower by candlelight last night
Me: it was very romantic.
Me: too bad there wasn't anyone there with me ;) [Ed Note: I meant in the shower]
Jessa: see? this is life's way of saying, "take more time for romance"

So yeah, I guess I should work on that.

I went Home this last weekend to visit with my family. My sister and brother-in-law were in town for the first time in a few years, they got to see their nieces for the first time, we had a party for my dad's 60th birthday on Saturday, which included cousins and friends, and we had a family photo and a car accident. It was great!!

Speaking of romance, I fielded more questions about my love life (or lack of) than I have since ... well, since the last time my family was all together. My mother and grandmother don't bother me about that sort of thing, so it surprises and flusters me when others bring it up. I appreciate the thought, but gosh, I can't even get a date these days, so marriage is not even on my radar.

In other news, Carly is so tall!! I haven't posted the pictures yet, but I will. And Lily is teething, so she's cranky, but even when cranky she's a sweet baby, so it's ok.

Oh! And I'm going to be a bridesmaid again. You know what they say about bridesmaids, don't you? 3 times a bridesmaid, never a bride. This will be wedding #4 for me, so re: romance again, marriage is not even an option anymore, I guess :)

In view of the bridesmaid thing, though, I have committed myself (once again) to exercise and eating right. I've done pretty well this week. Hopefully I can keep it up through to next March, so I don't appear as a huge blob in the wedding photos.
