Happy Independence Day!

This year, I celebrate my independence from any social commitments I might have made, as I have had to cancel every set of plans since last Thursday.

I went to the supermarket yesterday to stock up on more cough drops, kleenex and congestion medication, and everyone else in line was getting beer and chips and other party paraphelia. Next year, maybe that'll be me.

(Do you know why elves live so long?? Because they do everything in slow motion. I bet if I did everything in slow motion, I'd live longer too. Maybe even indefinitely. - I have been watching a lot of movies this week, including the entire set of LotR.)

Oh, and when it comes to congestion medication, Benadryl Allergy and Cold is the shit. I have tried Claritin and Chlor-Trimeton and my cough syrup with codeine (mmmm... codeine), and not a single one worked. This stuff has cleared up almost all of my symptoms overnight, especially the sore throat. Now if I can just shake this cough, then I will actually be able to talk to others. It's been a lonely lonely 6 days, I tell ya.
